New Puppy Training / Fundamentals

This puppy obedience training program covers all the crucial things you need to know to help your pup acclimate to their new home.

During our sessions, puppy obedience training includes the descriptions below:

Basic Behavior Skills Training

This basic obedience training program focuses on communication, exercise, and management of everyday activities.

All puppies and dogs are born with distinct personalities and natural instincts. Without proper training, our dogs use their natural reactions to our world, even if it’s not appropriate. This is where you may find your dog displaying undesirable behaviors like jumping, chewing, and more.

This basic skills and obedience training program will teach you which natural and learned behaviors create a simple and functional line of communication to access what dogs want or need. Here, we teach you how to overcome boredom and undesirable behavior with proper exercise and games that will stimulate his/her mind. Our professional training methods give you the power to reward with positive reinforcement.

Advanced Behavior Skills Training

This advanced obedience training program focuses on fine tuning basic skills that your dog is already familiar with.

This training program strengthens and refines your dogs’ behaviors learned in my Basic Behavior Skills program and then some. During this training, we focus on your specific problem areas like unwanted jumping on guests, recall, and more. We will add more duration, distraction, and distance that will impress everyone around you. This program sets you up for the Canine Good Citizen test, as well.

Therapy Dog Training

This training program is specifically tailored for dogs and their owners who comfort others.

This therapy dog training program is for dogs who visit other humans providing comfort and joy. You can commonly find dogs who have passed this level of obedience training visiting at a nursing home, children’s hospital, or at a traumatic event.

If your dog has a serene, calm demeanor that enjoys being petted, cuddled, and putting smiles on the faces of humans, this is a great way to share your dog with others in need.

Service Dog Training

This professional level training program is meant to properly train guide dogs to aid their human.

{According to the Americans with Disabilities Act, service dogs are specially trained to perform specific tasks for people with disabilities. These disabilities can be physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or mental. Service dogs have full public access rights, which means they can go places where other animals aren’t allowed. This includes restaurants, libraries, and public transportation.}

This training program is dedicated to children and adults with Psychiatric Disabilities and Autism. This program is specifically tailored to you, your needs, and desired tasks. During our training, we are highly attuned and sensitive to each person’s environmental preferences. We work at your comfort level to ensure successful sessions.

Daytime Puppy Training Program

This program offers puppy parents an extra hand to maintain crucial puppy life-skills during their work hours.

Finding time to raise a puppy while working full time hours can be stressful. All puppies need a potty break at least once or twice while you are at work. Not to mention the guilt of leaving your puppy alone for so many hours. Yes, you can hire a pet sitter to give your puppy relief, but think about the benefit for you and your puppy to hire an experienced dog trainer to do this task? During this 45 minute visit, your puppy can potty and work on whatever training skills you require. Plus you will receive a video of the training session. This program is open to existing clients and clients who just want this service.

Daytime Dog Training Program

This program’s purpose is geared towards the busy individual needing more help. It’s designed for our existing clients to add flexibility around daytime schedules.

Currently, if you are enrolled in any of the above training programs and would like additional help, I am available to conduct one-on-one sessions in your home. This program is meant for me to take the reins, reinforce what has already been learned, and fine tune the problem areas. This includes trips to any off-site locations for public access training.
